The third Saturday in October every year is International Archeology Day, which encourages us to delve deeper into the earth’s surface and explore the dusty roots of history and civilization. The anniversary was established in 2011 by the American Institute of Archeology (AIA) and is now celebrated around the world through events, tours and hands-on excavation experiences.
